Our Teacher ─Mr.Feng Zhiyuan
Mr.Feng is now over seventy.He came to teach in Zhongning County, Ningxia from Shanghai in the 1950s.He worked very hard.
Soon he found he had a serious illness in his eyes, but he never stopped his teaching.In 1982, he completely lost his sight.He still refused to leave the classroom.He worked until he retired.
Mr.Feng had much knowledge, and was good at teaching.All his students enjoyed his lessons ,which were lively and interesting.
He loved teaching and his students.He got on well with us students, but he was also strict with us.
Because of his moving deeds and great contribution to education, he was selected as one of the people of “Moving China” in 2006.

This afternoon we had a PE lesson.Our teacher took us to practise swimming.
When the bell rang at 2:00, we gathered at the side of the swimming pool.After the warming up for a while, the teacher told us the way of swimming and gave us an example.Then my fellow classmates jumped into the pool and practised in it.But this was my first time to learn swimming and I felt quite nervous.I didn’t dare to jump in.The teacher and my classmates all encouraged me.With the teacher’s help, I encouraged myself to jump in.I kept thinking the teacher’s instruction on how to breathe in the water and practising.At last I managed to master all the basic movements.

He was born in China in February, 1976.Having graduated from Yinchuan No.1 Middle School in July, 1994, he entered Xi’an Jiaotong University.Nine years later, he received a doctor’s degree of computer, and then he went to work in a computer company in Xi’an.Once an American company tried to invite him to work in America and promised him a high salary.But he didn’t accept the invitation.
