Imperial College London (officially The Imperial College of Science， Technology and Medicine) is a public research university located in London， United Kingdom， specializing in science， engineering， medicine and business and has been consistently ranked third in the UK. Imperial is organized into four main academic units—Imperial College Faculty of Natural Sciences， Imperial College Faculty of Medicine， Imperial College Faculty of Engineering and the Imperial College Business School. Imperial"s main campus is located in the South Kensington area of central London on the boundary between the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the City of Westminster. It has additional campuses in the Chelsea， Hammersmith and Paddington areas of central London. Queen"s Tower： The Queen"s Tower is situated in the South Kensington Campus of Imperial College London， England. It is 287 feet (about 87.5 m) tall with a copper covered dome at its top. To reach the base of the dome from the ground on foot， one must ascend a series of narrow spiral staircases， which comprise 325 steps in total.The tower used to be the central tower of the Imperial Institute， and is now the sole remaining part of that building. There are ten bells hung for change ringing in the middle of the tower， about two thirds of the way up. They are rung on Royal Anniversaries and on the dates of the Imperial College degree ceremonies.
