This is a picture of our school——Zhongning No.1High School.It is the largest modern school in the Zhongwei City.Entering the gate, on your right, you will see a mult——functional building, in which there are lecture halls, computer rooms, sound labs and music halls.On your left is the Lab Building, in front of which there is a beautiful fountain.To the east of the office building are the classroom buildings, and to the west is the library .Behind the office building and the library there is a beautiful garden, where students can read books.North of the garden, there is a big dining hall and three students’ apartment buildings.To the east of the garden and dining hall is a large sports ground, which contains 8 basketball courts,8 volleyball courts,8 table——tennis courts,4 badminton courts, a running track and a football court.Around the school are rows of trees, and green grass and colorful flowers are everywhere.The campus is really beautiful.

The next day, the owner of the brief——case went to Zhang Hong’s shop.She thanked the manager and wanted to give a reward to Zhang Hong, but Zhang Hong refused to accept it.The owner then thanked Zhang Hong for what she had done.

Today is the Chinese traditional festival ─——the Mid——Autumn Day.Father, mother and I went to visit my Grandpa and Grandma.They live with my aunt in a flat on the other side of the town.It is about 15 minutes’ ride by bike.
Early in the afternoon, we bought some mooncakes and some fruit.Then we got on our bikes to get there.
Grandpa, Grandma and Aunt were so delighted to see us.We gave the presents to them and they were very happy.Then we sat down to talk, while Aunt went to prepare supper.The meal was so nice that we all enjoyed it very much.At six o’clock, we said good——bye and set off for home.

Ah Fang’s Hobby
Ah Fang has an interesting hobby.She collects coins.She spends a lot time on her collection in her spare time.She has collected over two hundred coins.Most of them are Chinese ones, quite a few from foreign countries.But they are all in various shapes.
Ah Fang loves coins with different words and figures on them.In this way, she learns the history of the coins and where they come from..She visits some people who are experienced in collecting coins.She also borrows books on coins from the city library.She learns many things about them.
Sometimes Ah Fang has many coins of the same kind.She gives them to her friends.They then give her other coins in return.Ah Fang writes to her pen——friends in other countries.In return they send her coins of their countries.

A visit to the zoo
Last Saturday Mrs Yang took Liying and Zhiming to the zoo.It was their second visit to the zoo.Mrs Yang bought 3 tickets at the entrance.
The first animals the children saw were the monkeys.They were swinging up on the tree.How active they looked! Liying and Zhiming saw more animals as they walked.They saw giraffes, camels, zebras, elephants, tigers and lions.Liying liked the giraffes.Zhiming liked the elephants because of their long trunks.
The children rode ponies (horses) at the children’s corner.The ponies were tame and the ride was fun.Mrs Yang and the children enjoyed the visit to the zoo.They would visit the zoo again.

My Pet
Some of us keep pets as a hobby.My pet is a brown tortoise and his name is Mimi.He has a tiny head and a short tail.His body is covered with a hard shell.
I bought Mimi from a pet shop in Yinchuan a year ago.He is now very tame.I often play with him when I return home from school.I love watching Mimi crawling about and hiding his head when I touch him.I feed him with leaf vegetables, worms and fish food once every day.
When my friends come to my house, they enjoy playing hide——and——seek with Mimi on the floor.They always say that I have got a clever pet.I love Mimi very much.

A night hawker center is not a decorated place.There are many foodstalls at a night hawker center.Hawker food is cheaper than restaurant food.
One evening, Mr.Liu and his family went to a night hawker center for dinner.First, they looked for a place to sit.Next, Mr.Liu ordered food.He ordered Chinese dumplings for his son, long noodles for his wife and himself.Then he talked with his wife and son on their seats.
